Due to poor installation, CSL were appointed to remove 5000m² of aluminium standing seam roof area and replace it with a trapezoidal profile mild steel roof system at Stratford High School, Stratford Upon Avon. To meet with the relevant building regulations in accordance with David Hicks Consultants Ltd report 2.01.
Warwickshire County Council requested a 25 year insurance back guarantee with the new roof system, as a result of the problems experienced with the original roof system. This was achieved using a ‘HPS 200 Ultra’ coated trapezoidal profile mild steel sheet fixed with stainless steel fixings. On completion of the roofing works we installed a Soter Fall restraint system upon the roof surface to assist future roof maintenance.
The project started during term time in January 2012 with a 16 week programme and as such health & safety was of paramount importance. Work was completed two weeks ahead of schedule with no disruption to the schools day to day activities.
